Roger is delighted to be returning to Vienna once again but this time as director of A Capital Affair.
For over forty years he has acted and directed both in the United States and in his native England. His UK credits include four years at the National Theatre under Sir Laurence Olivier as well as appearing in London’s West End at the Garrick and Cambridge theatres.
In the USA & Canada he has worked extensively as an actor and director at the Alliance theatre Atlanta, Buffalo Studio Arena, Portland Centre Stage, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Florida Stage, the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Cincinnatti Playhouse and Milwaukee Rep as well as seasons with the Stratford Festival in Canada. He was a founding director of the GeVa theatre New York where he acted in and directed over thirty plays.
He has made numerous film and television appearances both in the UK and in the USA and has performed off Broadway but never on it!
He has taught and directed at Ohio University as a visiting professor, taught at Auburn University, and the Summer course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where he is currently a member of the audition board.
In 2007 he premiered his one man show Falstaff at the National Arts Centre in Ottowa winning a best actor award for 2007-08 and subsequently toured the UK in 2008. Most recently he has been in Salt Lake City, Utah directing a production of Priestleys’ Time and the Conways.
