Cally graduated from drama school in Manchester in 1995. Since then she has been lucky enough to work in theatre, film and television all across the UK and occasionally, much to her delight, in other parts of the World. This is her first visit to Vienna.

Cally has appeared in Panto (a very British form of theatre) playing the Good Fairy, The Wicked Fairy, The Indian Chief, and on one memorable occasion the back end of Daisy the Cow!
Her television credits include: Jackie in Series 3 & 4 of People Just Do Nothing (BBC3), Petra in Class (BBC3), Sonia Webb in Coronation Street (ITV

). Her most recent film Who is Alice is due for release in the autumn and has already been picking up awards at international film festivals including two best supporting actress awards for Cally – so far no invites to attend award ceremonies have arrived, but Cally lives in hope!
Cally regularly records Talking Books for the Royal National Institute for the Blind which is a job she loves and hopes to continue for many years. She also runs her own Company, No Loss Productions, collaborating with other theatre practitioners in her home town of Bedford to create affordable, accessible theatre for everyone. 2016 saw her take on one of the biggest challenges of her career so far when she produced and directed an outdoor production of The Passion of Christ which involved 100 performers, 3 crucifixes, 10 doves, 1 donkey and approx 1000 spectators. People are still talking about the doves!
Over the years Cally has also worked as a Theatre Director both in her home town and further afield. Her directing work includes: Captain Fantastic for LifeBox Theatre, Spear of the Gods for Bedford TiE Co, Twilight Dancer for No Loss Productions, Wild Things for Dumbstruck! Theatre, George’s Marvellous Medicine for Dumbstruck! Theatre, Macbeth for Maqama Theatre Co, Midsummer Night’s Dream for Ashk’Ente Theatre Co and Amadeus for Wyrd Theatre Co.
She is also one of the creators & co producer of StageWrite, a new writing festival staged in Bedford that gives writers the opportunity to showcase their work and get direct feedback from audiences, actors and directors after a script in hand performance.
The 22nd anniversary of Cally’s first professional acting job happens whilst she is taking on the challenge of playing Shirley Valentine. She says “I could not be more pleased, honoured or excited that it is happening in Vienna in such a wonderful theatre. I hope audiences grow to love Shirley Valentine as much as I do.”
